Acrylic, also referred to by its chemical name polyacrylonitrile (PAN). It comes in a variety of formats and the exact properties of the fibre depend on the production and ingredients. It is inherently resistant to sunlight, heat and chemicals making it durable and cost-effective for both indoor and outdoor applications. Acylic fibre is soft and lofty and often blended with wool to take advantage of the properties of both fibres.
