Gimp is a cord structure made up of a core fibre with another tightly wrapped around the outside to form a strong slightly rigid thread.
Composition of 60% Wool (core fibre) 40% Nyon (outer wrapping) & 37% Cotton 37% Acrylic (core) 26% Poyester (outer).
Tudor is 35% Cotton, 35% Acrylic, 15% Viscose, 15% Nylon.
Yarn Count is 2600 Nm & 3100 Nm. Tudor 1800 Nm.
100g cone = 260m & 310m. Tudor 180m.
Helpful Hints:
Ideal for lacemaking to outline designs. Machine washable 30oC.
