Polypropylene (PP) is a man-made synthetic, characterized by a slippery surface, its high strength and low heat resistance. It is the lightest yarn for its size, lighter than both polyester and nylon. It has very low thermal conductivity and does not absorb water.

With its technical properties of excellent dimensional sability, this yarn is crease resistant, therefore no need to be ironed. In order to value its best softness, a generous steaming is recommended.
